According to a nationwide survey of over 1,000 homebuyers:
- 75% would walk away after spotting a major issue
- 1 in 5 would reduce their offer by up to 15% (£40,000+)
- 57% said they’d drop it even further
Top turn-offs included:
- Damp patches or mould
- Persistent odours
- Poor layouts or lighting
- Outdated interiors
- Neglected gardens
